EU funded researcher positions are available at the Research Centre for Molecular Medicine (Centre of Excellence of EU) of the University of Debrecen, Hungary. 4 senior and 4 junior researcher positions are offered in the following areas:
 
1. Embryonic Stem Cell Research: studying the role of nuclear receptor mediated transcriptional events in embryonic stem (ES) cells’ pluripotency and differentiation in the newly established Stem Cell Research Laboratory of RCMM (Professor László Nagy). Reference: Nagy
 
2. Poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation: from cell death signaling to mesenchymal stem cell biology (Professor László Virág). Reference: Virag
 
3. Microscopic imaging core facility assistant managers. Tasks involve writing online sign-up and accounting programs, maintenance and basic service of confocal microscopes, instruction and assistance for non-expert users, development of single pair FRET microscopy (Dr. György Vámosi). Reference: Vamosi
 
4. TRP channel signaling and the endocannabinoid system in the human skin. From epidermal keratinocytes to hair follicle stem cells. (Dr. Tamás Bíró) Reference: Biro
 
Qualification: Candidates for the senior researcher positions should have a PhD degree and at least four years of experience, junior researchers should be PhD students or junior post docs.

A 3-day meeting is to be organised between 30. November and 02. December, 2009 for representatives of DKFZ (German Cancer Research Center, http://www.dkfz.de/index.html), EMBL (European Molecular Biology Laboratory, http://www.embl.de) and RCMM. The programme will include presentations on core facilities and research projects, scientific sessions, a visit to different RCMM laboratories and discussons on present and future collaborations.
